The Viking

                                                                              With one thought in mind

This world belongs to me

He was a free man

She was a free woman

They were free as warriors

Their integrity to their mission

Was more important than their body

And so they conquered land

Traded

Sailed

They originated

From Iceland, Norway

Sweden, Denmark

Finland

And so set sail to America

Long before Columbus ever did

They traded with the Arabic world

Went to Mediterranean countries

And sailed the long rivers of Russia

All the way to Kurdistan

They ruled the Baltic

They conquered the British Isles

And gave name to Normandy

They were one with the forces 

And the gods of nature

They were masters 

In building an empire

But didn't understand yet

How to sustain one

For a longer time

Just like there are warriors

There are still Vikings around

They do have long hair as men

But not necessarily so

And as women with long hair 

But not necessarily so 

A Viking is he who is fearless

And true to his mission in life

A Viking is she who is fearless

And true to her mission in life

Vikings are immortal!
