Passionate infatuation

I once knew a man
He got caught in a passionate flight
He did all he can
Not to taste infatuation might

His life unrolled like an odyssey
And soon enough had a siren to pass
She enticed him with her body
And stuck his soul with a mass

He was a traveller, far and away
With wife and children home
No other game to play
Than to play out of Homerus' tome

He managed to free himself
Of desire's chain and ball
By luck or good reason, himself
He heard integrity's call

Life is lived whatever way
But once by loyalty's negation
Dishonesty then is to stay
As hurting passionate infatuation
